This weekend, there'll be lots of tight-end suspense at Super Bowl parties. (Will Rob Gronkowski overcome his sprained ankle to play for the Patriots?) But we're secure in our own tight (rear) end, now that we've discovered Lyssé Leggings.
We liked these leggings, a combination of shapewear and outerwear, the moment we shimmied into the most basic style ($58). A five-inch waistband eliminated the bulge we get atop our snuggest pants, and a hidden tummy panel made us look more slender. What's more, the cotton-spandex fabric eliminated jiggle, yet four-way stretch kept it from feeling too binding.
There's an eight-inch-waistband version ($64) suitable for tall or long-waisted figures, as well as boot-cut ($60), wide-leg ($62) and pleather knee panel ($45) styles. New designs are being added all the time by former Macy's buyer Beth Gold-Cohen. She started the line after sewing a high-waisted control undergarment onto her favorite leggings in a desperate attempt to eliminate "muffin-top."
All we know is that when we sport these, we feel like a winner.
